This ain’t grace – this all fucked – this old thing. God is dead or dy ing, and all we have left is our broken and battered selves and the ques tion we rode in on. Why. MISSA POP ULI is a re claim ing of the Cath ol ic Mass—an ex plor a tion and un der min ing from with in—dis sec ted and re built in the guise of per form ance and the name of hu man ity. Com bin ing the sac ri fice, tran scend ence, blood and cir cum stance of the ori gin al with his tory, live mu sic, sci ence, dance, lit er at ure and pop cul ture to find a wholly mod ern com mu nion ex per i ence that is all hu man. This is the People’s Mass.

Vicious Trap:
Vicious Trap doesn’t exist. Vicious Trap is a phrase. Together, this phrase and its website are used on occasion to reference the performance explorations of Eric Meyer and/or Julie Rada. Vicious Trap is a scape-goat, a catch-all, and various other phrases. Vicious Trap has been blamed for several original works, including “a murder one less” which premiered at the 2009 Boulder International Fringe Festival.

Eric Meyer:
Eric Meyer is a multi-media artist specializing in collaborative devised work, and acting variously as a director, musician, writer, technician, designer or web developer. Previously the Artistic Director of New World Arts experimental theatre company in northern Indiana and Technical Director of various venues there and here, he is now the Art Director for OddBird web development by day and Co-Vicious Trap by night. Eric recently appeared in "Roller Skating With My Cousin" at The LIDA Project, and his light design for LIDA’s "rain /of terror" was nominated for the 2009 Denver Post Ovation Award.
