HOLDING PATTERN by Art as Action
A collaborative dance / poetry / music / visualArt performance
HOLDING PATTERN will be a collective performance by our talented ensemble of choreographers, poets & musicians exploring what it means to be present while you wait, & how waiting defines our lives. In keeping with the HOLDING PATTERN theme, a percentage of ticket sales will be donated to Warren Village, a Denver non-profit that provides transitional housing for single parent families.
Like past Art as Action shows, HOLDING PATTERN is a collaborative performance premiering a collection of innovative pieces by our talented ensemble of choreographers, writers, musicians and visual artists. All of these pieces explore the theme HOLDING PATTERN.

ABOUT ART AS ACTION
Founded in January 2002, Art as Action is a grassroots movement of artists and activists whose mission is to use the power of collaborative art to create social change. Repeatedly, art has proven to be an extraordinary way to inspire and unite a community. Art as Action uses this to bring global awareness to local artists and audiences. Our performances are composed of original pieces connected by a common theme and created by a diverse group of artists. We are comprised of members of various art communities including dance, circus arts, music, film, poetry, visual art and aerial dance. Each artist is encouraged to collaborate and transcend the boundaries between art genres, thereby creating a collage of diverse artistic pieces representing an extensive range of talents, ideas and backgrounds. Art as Action provides the support and the structure that empowers artists to produce entertaining, powerful and socially relevant work of professional caliber.
