TRUST & RISK: Immersive Creating & Performing
11am–5pm, November 16-17, 2019
Control Group Home Studio, Lakewood, CO

We can understand all of immersive art-making as the act of building & spending trust. Control Group directors Patrick Mueller, Bailey Harper, & Nicholas Caputo guide this collaborative workshop in how we cultivate trust in interactive, experiential, & audience-active performance. We'll spend time exploring skills & tactics, and how to build immersivity into project vision and event structure.

PRACTICE | weekly classes for advanced movers
These are the things we need to do every day.
October 23 – November 20, 2019
$15 suggested donation
PRACTICE, for professional dancers, actors, and advanced movers, seeks a facile physical training regimen that sets us up for many different activities. We combine practices from contemporary dance, physical theatre, integrative somatics, and elsewhere, aimed at building skills and attunements for intimate, empathetic, virtuosic performing across diverse styles and genres.
The work aims to clear out obstacle, to hone clarity, and to cultivate presence and availability in the fascinating, ecstatic, fearless moment of motion. Through guided improvisation, set sequencing, and repetitive pathways, we immerse ourselves in our individual practice.
All classes taught by Patrick Mueller (artistic director)
We currently offer professional training exclusively at our new home studio in Lakewood. Because this a residential property in a bucolic suburban neighborhood, these classes are private / by invitation only, and donation-based.
If you'd like an invitation to join us for classes, please contact us so that we can get to know you and get into the studio with you!
We'll continue to announce workshops and intensives focusing on Immersive Design and Interactive Performance Techniques. Feel free to contact us with interest, or stay tuned to our newsletter for announcements.
We also offer periodic workshops and weekend intensives on a variety of special topics such as:
Movement for Actors
Fundamentals of Movement
We also regularly work with local dance studios and schools to offer workshops, class series, repertory projects, etc.
Please contact us if you're interested in hosting a workshop or a class series.
